Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. Growing up, she listened to many traditional music as well as old boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana loves tangos, opera, and all forms of dramatic performance. Her mother taught her to sing, but she started intensive vocal training through Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. he was a renowned Mexican opera singer and tenor. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a student, and as a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choirs. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She currently performs classic Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. as a music teacher and musician, she is committed to numerous community projects because of her passion and love for music. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for being able to share her love and enthusiasm for traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to instill a sense of particularly among the younger generation, to help keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
