Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress known for her role in the films Beta Saajan and Hum Hain Kun..! In the late 80s, she began her acting career and became famous for her role as Tezaab which she played with an established actor Anil Kapooor. The next film she appeared in was Dil which she shared screen space with Aamir. She was born into the Mumbai middle-class family and started dancing in her early years. At the age of 15 when she began to act, she struggled as many of her films were flops. She found fame and became one of India's leading film actors. The actress took a hiatus from her career following her marriage before returning to the entertainment industry. In recent years, Dixit played a significant role in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggle of Indian women. Dixit is nominated to win 15 Filmfare Awards, out of which she took home eight. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian prize awarded to civilians in India was awarded to her. She is known for her work in the field of social service as well.
